It is also known as ''Uradana'' (Kannada:''ಊರದನ'') and ''Varshagandhi'' (Kannada:''ವರ್ಷಗಂಧಿ'').〔(About Malnad Gidda Cattle )〕 They are of short stature and known for their adaptability, disease resistance.
